ABOUT AWADH
ART FESTIVAL

The Awadh Art Festival was established with the vision of celebrating India's rich artistic heritage while creating a meaningful platform for artists across generations and disciplines. What began as a grassroots initiative within the artistic circles of Lucknow has evolved into a respected and growing art festival driven by creativity, cultural dialogue, and artistic excellence.

Since its inception in 2018, AAF has brought together artists, collectors, curators, galleries, art enthusiasts, and cultural organizations from across India and abroad. The festival serves as a vibrant meeting ground where artistic expression, imagination, and innovation converge, enabling artists to showcase their work, share their journeys, and engage with diverse audiences.

AAF is dedicated to promoting artistic diversity, cultural inclusivity, and meaningful exchange. A distinctive aspect of the festival is its commitment to presenting seasoned yet under-recognized artists alongside eminent and established practitioners, creating opportunities for visibility, appreciation, and dialogue.

Through curated exhibitions, artist interactions, cultural programs, demonstrations, talks, workshops, and special projects, AAF continues to foster appreciation for both traditional and contemporary artistic practices.

Today, the Awadh Art Festival stands as a celebration of creativity in all its formsβ€”honouring India’s artistic legacy while encouraging new ideas, emerging narratives, and meaningful cultural connections.
